The Journal of Daoist Studies (JDS) is an annual interdisciplinary scholarly publication dedicated to the study of Daoism and its diverse dimensions and contemporary expressions in society. The journal provides a platform for scholarly inquiry into the philosophical, cultural, social, historical and practical dimensions of Daoist thought and its relationship with contemporary human and community concerns.

In pursuing this broad perspective, the journal welcomes empirical, theoretical and applied studies that examine social and cultural practices, psychology and human behavior, human well-being, education and language, community development, governance and public policy, entrepreneurship and livelihood, environmental sustainability, technology and innovation, and other emerging societal concerns where these intersect with broader questions of society, culture, values, learning, human behavior, and development. The journal accommodates quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method research and encourages studies that generate contextual evidence and practical implications for individuals, communities, institutions and society.

Consistent with its interdisciplinary orientation, JDS seeks to advance scholarly dialogue on how philosophical, cultural, social and contemporary perspectives can contribute to understanding human experiences, institutional practices, community issues and responses to emerging challenges.
