SOCIAL RESILIENCE OF ACEH SOCIETY IN THE POST-PEACE ERA
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social resilience is a strategic concept for understanding the post-conflict and post-peace recovery process of Acehnese society. It reflects not only the community’s ability to withstand and recover from the impacts of prolonged conflict, but also its collective capacity to foster social cohesion, inclusiveness, and sustainable well-being. This study aims to analyze the implementation of social resilience programs in reducing extreme poverty in North Aceh Regency and to identify the types of programs that contribute to improving the socio-economic conditions of impoverished communities. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, employing observation and interpretation of social phenomena within their natural settings. Policy evaluation focuses on indicators of extreme poverty reduction and program effectiveness, including economic empowerment, access to education and health services, and local government commitment. The findings reveal that although the North Aceh Government possesses relatively adequate resources, program effectiveness is constrained by suboptimal budget allocation, limited access to basic services, and weak coordination among stakeholders. These results underline the necessity of integrated, cross-sectoral policy frameworks to strengthen social resilience and achieve sustainable reductions in extreme poverty.
