Assessing the Viability of Identified Livelihood Opportunities in Cagayan State University

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the viability of Cagayan State University's (CSU) established livelihood options according to the assessment of business faculty members and trainers of the university who will provide trainings to people interested in establishing livelihood ventures. Using qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, this study seeks to identify established livelihood activities that are offered or available to the university, and assess how the university's faculty members or trainers perceive each of these livelihood activities based on five types of livelihood capital (i.e., physical, human, social, natural, and financial. Findings are expected to guide CSU administrators in prioritizing livelihood initiatives that empower employees, enhance financial resilience, and foster inclusive economic growth within the university community. At the same time the study can be also be an avenue for faculty/trainers’ development plan.
