Main Article Content
Abstract
The rapid expansion of digital technologies has fundamentally transformed the way businesses establish and promote their brands. Early-stage startups, often constrained by limited financial, human, and technological resources, increasingly rely on social media platforms to create brand awareness, engage customers, and establish market credibility. Unlike traditional advertising channels that require substantial investments, social media provides startups with cost-effective, interactive, and measurable opportunities to communicate their value propositions to target audiences. This study examines the impact of social media on brand building in early-stage startups by exploring its role in enhancing brand awareness, customer engagement, trust, brand loyalty, and business growth. The paper also discusses the strategic use of various social media platforms, influencer collaborations, user-generated content, and data-driven marketing approaches that contribute to effective brand development. Furthermore, it highlights the challenges faced by startups, including algorithm changes, content saturation, misinformation, and reputation management. The findings suggest that startups adopting a consistent and customer-centric social media strategy experience higher brand recognition and stronger customer relationships than those relying solely on conventional marketing techniques. The paper concludes by recommending best practices for startups to leverage social media as a sustainable branding tool in highly competitive digital markets.
