Main Article Content
Abstract
The pharmaceutical marketing industry operates in a dynamic and highly regulated environment that demands continuous learning, specialized knowledge, and effective employee development. Workplace mentoring plays a vital role in enhancing employee competencies, job performance, career progression, and organizational commitment. However, conventional mentoring practices often face challenges such as limited mentor availability, time constraints, inconsistent knowledge sharing, and difficulties in scaling mentoring initiatives across organizations. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative solution to address these limitations by enabling personalized learning experiences, intelligent mentor–mentee matching, real-time feedback, and data-driven decision-making. This paper examines the role of AI in enhancing workplace mentoring and its impact on employee outcomes in the pharmaceutical marketing sector. Drawing on existing literature, the study highlights how AI-supported mentoring contributes to improved employee performance, job satisfaction, engagement, knowledge acquisition, and retention. The paper further discusses the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating AI into mentoring practices and presents conceptual insights into its application within pharmaceutical marketing organizations. The findings suggest that AI-enabled mentoring can significantly enhance organizational learning and employee development, offering a scalable and effective approach to workforce capability building in the evolving pharmaceutical marketing landscape.
