The Banu Wabrah ibn Taghlib and Their Contribution to Administrative Affairs

Abstract

Tribal studies have consistently sought to gather information about Arab tribes in order to highlight their prominent standing with the ruling authorities. The Banu Wabrah tribe is among the Arab tribes that contributed to the administration of the Islamic provinces, in addition to their contributions to the judiciary, the scribal profession (kitabah), the vizierate (wizarah), the police (shurtah), and the establishment of certain emirates in Shayzar (Bilad al-Sham) and Sicily.
