Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the human perspective on the grave consequences of privacy and security concerns generated
in the pursuit of the comfort and convenience of online activities. Associated cognate areas perceive risk and trust
for Internet users' privacy protection behavior were explored empirically for the three purposes of use: e
commerce, social media, and knowledge enrichment. We identified two research gaps of lesser-studied areas.
Primarily, the impact of privacy and security concerns on Internet users' privacy protection behavior via perceived
risk and trust under one canopy. Second, the introduction of knowledge enrichment is one of the purposes of use
for the study. We have used structural equation modelling and effect size. The findings indicate a shift in users'
risk and trust perceptions, with privacy concerns shifting to security concerns. The findings may assist
organizations in addressing online privacy and security concerns.
