Abstract

This study investigates the mechanisms through which AI-driven Decision Intelligence (AIDI) shapes organisational growth and catalyses strategic leadership transformation within high-velocity IT environments. Anchored in Dynamic Capabilities Theory (Teece, Pisano, & Shuen, 1997), Upper Echelons Theory (Hambrick & Mason, 1984), and the Knowledge-Based View (Grant, 1996), this paper proposes and empirically validates the AI-Driven Decision Intelligence and Organisational Transformation (ADIOT) Framework. This framework articulates how AIDI interacts with strategic leadership quality, organisational agility, and knowledge management capability to produce superior growth outcomes in turbulent technology markets.
Using a convergent mixed-methods design, 742 IT executives and senior managers were surveyed across 24 high-velocity organisations in India, Singapore, and the UAE. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), bootstrapped mediation, and moderated-mediation techniques were employed. Results confirm that AIDI exerts a significant positive direct effect on organisational growth (β = 0.41, p < .001) and strategic leadership transformation (β = 0.48, p < .001). Knowledge Management Capability fully mediates the AIDI→growth relationship, while Environmental Velocity positively moderates this association (Δβ = +0.17 at high velocity). The ADIOT framework explains 71.4% of variance in organisational growth and 68.0% in strategic leadership transformation, with all ten hypotheses supported. The study advances Dynamic Capabilities Theory, Upper Echelons Theory, and provides actionable implications for C-suite leaders navigating AI-enabled environments.
