Abstract

Dithiazolidines are unique kind of five membered heterocyclic compounds which has a special structure which contains two nitrogen and two sulphur atoms in a particular arrangement. They can react to a wide range of substituents because of this arrangement and thus having much capacity to modulate functional behavior as well as their chemical reactivity. Due to this special structure, they represent variety of applications and hence these compounds are matter of interest and attention of the various academic disciplines. These dithiazolidines serve as an effective intermediate in the chemical synthesis and they also facilitate the construction of various complex molecular structures. These dithiazolidine analogs have been of great interest in the field of medicinal chemistry as they have demonstrated promising antibacterial activities and bioactive potential due to their unique mechanisms of action. They are also deemed to be appropriate in material science progress, owing to having donor-acceptor properties and redox-activity, namely in the development of electronic materials, sensors, as well as functional polymers. These dithiazolidines are under investigation and this paper justifies their value in attaining fundamental science and at the same time, effective technologies. In this work, there was synthesis of 1, 4 -bis (R-aminothiocarbonyl) amino) benzene, which were used to determine the structures. Aantimicrobial performance measurement of these compounds were observed and represent moderate or significant effect on a limited number of bacterial strains. This evidence suggests that a dithiazolidine frameworks is being considered in creating antibacterial medication. The significance of dithiazolidines in medicinal chemistry in order to encourage research and further investigation of its applications and functions in medicine is discussed in this work..
