Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the outcomes of the teaching professional practicum for fourth-year student teachers at the Faculty of Education, Thailand National Sports University, Chonburi Campus, for the 2024 academic year. The sample, selected through purposive sampling, consisted of 80 participants, including 30 school administrators, 30 mentor teachers, and 20 university supervisors. The research instrument used was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, which demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.89). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the overall outcomes of the practicum were rated at a high level. Among the evaluated dimensions, teacher characteristics received the highest score, followed by instructional management, classroom management, and technology integration, while classroom research was identified as the lowest-scoring dimension. The study highlights the critical role of teacher practicum in advancing SDG 4 (Quality Education) and suggests that enhancing digital competencies is vital for sustainable educational development. These results suggest that while student teachers exhibit a strong professional identity, there is still a need for further emphasis on research-based instruction for future curriculum development.
