The Environmental Dimension and Sustainable Development in the Light of Shari'a Purposes and Emirati Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

  The focus of the research revolves around the challenges of preserving and developing the environment, and not using it in a way that harms it, and the future of future generations, from a Shari'a perspective, where the texts of Islamic Sharia have dealt with the subject of the environment, urging its development and not tampering with it since the revelation of the Holy Qur'an, one of the purposes of Islam is to create a healthy environment for life, and the purposes of Islamic Sharia indicate the harmony of Shari'a rulings with life, starting from the era of the message to the age of artificial intelligence, and here a question arises:  What is the status of the environment in Islam, and are there any texts in Islam that call for the preservation of the environment, and what is the position of Islamic legislation on tampering with the environment? What is the mechanism of using contemporary tools and technology to achieve sustainable development?   The scope of the research was on the concept of the environment and the concept of sustainable environment, with an intentional view, and the research followed the method of extrapolation of the legal texts contained in this subject, analyzing them and deducing the legitimate purpose in preserving and sustaining the environment, and the balance between sustainability and investment, and preserving the environment, so the research came in an introduction, and three topics, the first on the preservation of the environment and its place in Islamic legislation, the second on environmental sustainability in Islamic legislation, and the third on the activation of the necessary and necessary legal purposes and the improvement and its environmental applications, then the conclusion to answer the problem, and the research reached the abundance of texts indicating all elements of the environment in terms of land, space and water, and how to invest them, and drew attention to the blessing of water, land and air, warning of the dangers of environmental pollution, and calling for the reconstruction of the land, and the recommendations came to enact environmental protection laws that are commensurate with the era of artificial intelligence.
