Employee Productivity and Digital Transformation in Modern Organizations

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology that is reshaping organizational processes, decision-making systems, and business performance across industries. The rapid integration of AI technologies in modern organizations has significantly influenced operational efficiency, employee productivity, customer engagement, and strategic competitiveness. The present study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence adoption on organizational performance with special reference to employee productivity and digital transformation in modern organizations. The study adopts a quantitative and descriptive research design using primary data collected from 400 employees and managerial professionals working in AI-adopted organizations across India. A structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale was used for data collection. Statistical tools including Reliability Analysis, Factor Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis, ANOVA, and Independent Sample t-test were applied using SPSS software. The findings reveal that AI adoption positively influences employee productivity, decision-making efficiency, operational performance, and organizational innovation. The study further identifies digital transformation as a significant mediator between AI implementation and overall organizational performance. The results also indicate that organizations adopting AI technologies experience improved workflow automation, enhanced data-driven decision-making, and increased competitive advantage. The research contributes to the growing literature on AI-driven business transformation and offers practical implications for organizations seeking to implement AI technologies effectively.
